The Weather in Miami
The weather in Miami changes throughout the year. In the summertime, we expect to see light winds from the East and South most of the time. Seas are generally flat and visibility remains good. Water temperatures get into the mid-eighties. The summer months begin in early May and extend through October (6 months).

In the winter and transition months, the weather has a potential to change more rapidly. Wind speeds are higher. If trade winds (Easterlies) coming from the Atlantic blow over 18-20 kts,
diving in Miami can be more challenging. The trade-off is that the visibility improves with the cooling of the water (72-78° F) making this time of year the best for picture taking. The winter months generally range from November to early March.

The sun shines during the whole year, so bring suntan lotion!
